For those of you who do not know where the world’s longest ski race takes place we are glad to inform you that it is at the Carinthian Nassfeld 🙂
It is coming soon for the 7th time – on 16th January 2016.
800 amateurs are welcome to take part in this great event as individual starters or as part of a team. They have to manage a sensational 25,6 kilometres and 6.000 metres in altitude in just one go during this first class race, which has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records.

Excitement pure at “Beat the Best“ in Carinthia – Who dares to take part in the world’s longest ski race?
The snow-reliable Nassfeld in Carinthia is not only the largest but also the sunniest ski resort in the Southern Alps. Competing for the prestigious ”Nassfeld Trophy”, “Beat the Best – the world’s longest ski race“ is hosted by Nassfeld for the seventh time already on 16th January 2016.
Almost 26 kilometres and 6.400 metres in altitude must be conquered during the race which was initiated by former ski sports star and “ORF Millionenshow“ presenter Armin Assinger who himself takes part in the race.

Every skiing enthusiast aged sixteen and over who dares to take on the challenge can still register for one of the 800 coveted starting places until 11th January 2016.
“Beat the Best“ is the sports highlight at Nassfeld. The Guinness World of Records has officially named this race the world’s longest ski race which attracts many famous athletes and spectators every year. Groups of 20 sportsmen and women start in the competition in intervals of 2 minutes. A total of nine pistes of different levels of difficulty across the entire ski resort must be conquered.
Arriving at the finishing line, the participants are rewarded by the cheering crowd of spectators who greet them with the respect they deserve. Besides the ”Nassfeld Trophy“ and treats from the Gailtal Valley, the participants have the chance to win fantastic non-cash prizes as well as the top prize – a brandnew Jaguar XE provided by Autohaus Aichlseder.
